Bio
I was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland in the city of Bethesda. In 2018, I completed my fifth year of study for the Masters of Art in Teaching (MAT) program at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
I have lived in Baltimore since 2013, dedicated to facilitating opportunities to get involved with the community arts. Since my senior year of high school I have been involved with arts education, interning with Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, a printmaking facility in Silver Spring, Maryland. Pyramid Atlantic is dedicated with bringing accessibility to the arts to the community. With the MAT program, I have had internship placements in City Neighbors Hamilton and the Baltimore Design School and student teacher placements at Medfield Heights Elementary School and Mount Saint Joseph's Catholic High School. Currently I am a high school visual arts teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools.
I am a first-generation Filipino-American heavily influenced by making work concentrated on heritage and culture.
